Weather may have played a role in house fire

DAMAGE:
$50,000 in damage
CAUSE:
Act of nature
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
HFD responded to the 15000 block of Stonehaven to find medium grey smoke coming from the attic of the home. Once the fire was out, firefighters went inside the home to investigate the source of the fire. It was noted that lightning possibly struck the home, causing power loss and a possible power surge to the garage refrigerator. The homeowner made it out safety along with the family pet.
