Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 11980 Overbrook about 11:05 a.m. on May 29.
One suspect, Joshua Courtney Callis (b/m, 34), is charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 263rd State District Court. A second suspect, Kaylondra Bragg (b/f, 20), is charged with capital murder in the 208th State District Court.

The suspects are charged in the death of Christian Chapman, 24, and wounding of Omar B. Ahmed, 24. Ahmed was transported to an area hospital in critical, but stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers J. Nguyen and W. Huff reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found Mr. Chapman unresponsive and lying outside an apartment. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Officers were advised a second shooting victim (Mr. Ahmed) had been taken in a private vehicle to an area hospital.
Further investigation identified Callis and Bragg as suspects in this case. Callis was in custody in the Harris County Jail on an unrelated narcotics charge and Bragg was taken into custody on November 9 without incident.
