News Availability on 2016 Homicide Investigation
At 10 a.m. TODAY (Friday, May 17), Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and HPD homicide detectives will make a plea to the public for information in the Josue Flores homicide investigation on the three-year anniversary of the boy’s murder.
Family members of Josue will also be present to speak to the media.
The news availability will be held in the first floor Media Briefing Room of the HPD Edward A. Thomas Building at 1200 Travis.
Eleven-year-old Josue Flores was stabbed multiple times as he walked home from school in the 1900 block of Fulton on May 17, 2016. He was pronounced deceased at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
The investigation by the HPD Homicide Division remains on-going.
