| At a 3:30 p.m. news briefing TODAY (Tuesday, November 27), Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo and representatives from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement partners will announce results of a two-week operation to round up parole offenders in the Houston area.
The news briefing will be held in the first floor Media Briefing Room of the HPD Edward A. Thomas Building at 1200 Travis.
Booking photos of some of the suspects taken into custody will be made available at the briefing.
The goal of the initiative was to arrest individuals with open parole violation warrants. HPD Major Offenders Division investigators worked in conjunction with local parole offices to assist in the arrest of these violators.
