MEDIA ALERT: Houston, Harris County Join Forces for National Night Out
At a news conference at 11 a.m. on Monday (October 2), Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, Police Chief Art Acevedo and Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales will be joined by numerous dignitaries and officers from several area law enforcement agencies to encourage citizens to participate in the 34th Annual National Night Out.
The news conference will be held in the Media Briefing Room on the first floor of the HPD Edward A. Thomas Building at 1200 Travis.
National Night Out festivities are from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3. Citizens are encouraged to go outside their homes to meet their neighbors at various social events and block parties planned throughout many neighborhoods in the Houston area.

NOTE: REPORTERS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS MUST ENTER THE BUILDING THROUGH THE PUBLIC ENTRANCE AT 1200 TRAVIS, GO THROUGH THE METAL DETECTORS AND PROVIDE VALID IDENTIFICATION BEFORE BEING ESCORTED TO THE MEDIA BRIEFING ROOM.
