Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Board to reveal the 2019 recipients, and honor outstanding City of Houston Hispanic Directors
Mayor Sylvester Turner and the Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Board will announce the 2019 Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Awards recipients. The announcement will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month which runs from September 15 to October 15.

The Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Awards recognize exemplarity Hispanics who have made outstanding contributions toward improving the quality of life within the Houston Hispanic Community.
The Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Board also will highlight the outstanding work of Hispanic City of Houston Directors Sam Peña, Art Acevedo and others and acknowledge Mayor Turner’s many Hispanic appointments to City of Houston Boards and Commissions.
