Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6500 Martin Luther King Boulevard
 

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 6500 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday (November 21).

The male victim, 64, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where, on Thursday (November 22), he was pronounced deceased.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Vanderbull and Officer N. Luu reported:

The driver of a white GMC Yukon was traveling southbound at the above address when the SUV struck a pedestrian crossing the street, not in a crosswalk.  The driver remained at the scene, where he was questioned and released. 

There are no charges in this incident, as the investigation is continuing.
