Apartment Fire in Northwest Houston
WHEN:
October 18, 2017 at 7:20 p.m.
WHERE:
7400 Hillmont Street, 77040
INJURIES:
No reported injuries.
DAMAGE:
Damaged estimated at $20,000
CAUSE:
Unattended cooking.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Engine 4 was first on scene and found heavy smoke coming from a bottom floor apartment. Firefighters made an offensive attack and performed a primary search. The fire was extinguished without difficulty and under control within 20 minutes. The fire was caused by unattended cooking (grease) on burner.
