Cardiac arrest survivor reunion
Today, June 29, 2017 at 1 p.m.
HFD Station 33 (7117 Fannin St @ S. Braeswood)
Three years ago, Ms. Christine Doner suffered a cardiac arrest at home. Her husband, Kent Guida had returned from walking their dog and found her unresponsive. He called 9-1-1 and performed bystander CPR with the help of the 9-1-1 calltaker. Shortly thereafter, Houston Fire Department EMTs and paramedics arrived and worked hard to restore her pulse!

HFD transported her to a local hospital where she received follow up treatment and recovered. Although it has been over three years, she has always wanted to thank all the HFD personnel that helped save her life.

Associate EMS Physician Director Dr. Chris Souders will talk about the key links in the chain of survival — which made it possible for Ms. Christine Doner to live!
