House Fire in The IAH / Airport Area

** City of Houston ———————————————————— ———————————————————— HOUSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT Incident Update FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Date: 06/04/2020 View this email in your browser (mailchi.mp/houstontx/house-fire-in-the-iah-airport-area-ni3sdvih6z?e=837d2e2090) House Fire in The IAH / Airport Area WHAT: House Fire WHEN: June 3, 2020 at 9:25 a.m. WHERE: 2400 block of Green Valley Dr, 77032 INJURIES: No reported injuries. PROPERTY SAVED: $8.5 thousand in estimated property saved. DAMAGE: $1.5 thousand in estimated damage. CAUSE: The cause was ruled incendiary by HFD Arson investigators. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes of being dispatched to find fire coming from the side of a 1-story building. It appeared the structure had been used as a commercial building due to two walk-in freezers. They made an offensive attack through a doorway and conducted a primary search. The structure appeared to be vacant and was partially boarded up. Two small fires were found in a room and extinguished. The building had no utilities and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 34, 64, 63, 74 and 105 responded to this incident.
