** City of Houston ———————————————————— ———————————————————— HOUSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT Incident Update FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Date: 06/01/2020 View this email in your browser (mailchi.mp/houstontx/house-fire-in-the-central-southwest-area-q14n61ktk3?e=837d2e2090) House Fire in The Central Southwest Area WHAT: House Fire WHEN: May 25, 2020 at 5:05 a.m. WHERE: 4700 block of Rosebud Dr, 77053 INJURIES: No reported injuries PROPERTY SAVED: $109 thousand in estimated property saved. DAMAGE: $12.5 thousand in estimated property damage. CAUSE: Unintentional ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene with heavy smoke coming from the attic of a single story home. They made an offensive attack, conducted a primary search and ventilated the home. The fire originated behind the washer and dryer with an outlet extender being used behind the appliances. The fire then ran up the rear wall and into the attic, and crews were able to confine it to the attic above the garage. Crews from Stations 21, 59, 80, 48 and 24 responded to this incident.
